How do I respond????

We have had a bad week with our animals.  Jack came home this morning from feeding the animals and was totally bummed because last night someone stole 2 of our best chickens.  They were really big and both laid an egg each day.  Jack has put almost a years worth of time into these hens to get them to where they are now and now they are gone.  Most likely they were butchered and sold or eaten.  We also had 2 other chickens stolen earlier this week and someone took 5 eggs out of a nest of 11 eggs that one of our hens was laying eggs in.  It is super frustrating because there is simply nothing we can do.  We have a fence around our place and a fence around the chickens.  I guess now we'll have to put a lock on the gate to the animals.  I am really struggling with how to respond.  I feel super angry inside because it seems as though people think it is okay to take our animals because we are foreigners and they have this perception that we have a lot of money.  We have run in to this problem a lot here.  I also know that we live in a place where people are broken and most of them are poor/hungry.  So how do I respond?  Jesus said that we should turn the other cheek and pray for our enemies.  It is so hard to do sometimes.  I don't want a seed of bitterness to build up inside of me.  Choosing to have grace and forgive those who wrong you can be difficult!  Please pray for me.  I want to be able to respond with the love Jesus showed us to have for others.  After all, that is why I'm here, right???
